The Acts of the Apostles

Our Parish’s Catholic Bible studies continue with “The Acts of the Apostles”, starting weekly on Wednesday evenings for 11 weeks, Sept. 30 to Dec. 9 (with a break Nov. 25 for Thanksgiving).

We will meet “in person” as a group once each month, beginning with the first lesson on Sept. 30. We will socially distance. Remember to bring your masks, which you will be required to wear. The other weeks we will conduct the study via Zoom Videoconferencing Service, which you can access free from your computer or smart-phone, and you will receive instructions.

“Acts” is the story of the beginning of the Church, after Christ ascends into Heaven, and the disciples receive the Holy Spirit at Pentecost. If focuses on Jesus’ great commission to the apostles to spread the gospel to all nations, and on the evangelizing work of St. Paul with the Gentiles.

Cost is about $20 for the commentary and study guide, tax and delivery. You will order those on your own directly from Little Rock Scripture. To sign up, contact Ed Beckley on 252-256-1084, or ejbeckleyjr@yahoo.com by Sept. 11.
