Seventeenth Sunday in Ordinary Time

July 28, 2024

O God, protector of those who hope in You, without whom nothing has firm foundation, nothing is holy, bestow in abundance Your mercy upon us and grant that, with You as our ruler and guide, we may use the good things that pass in such a way as to hold fast even now to those that ever endure.. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son, who lives and reigns with You in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever.

This Week's Homily

Homily for the 17th Sunday in Ordinary Time – Year B

God is love. We were created in God’s image and likeness because God loves us. God’s love for us is infinite. He gave us his love and called upon us to always love one another as he loved us first by creating us without any request given to him. He expressed his deep love for mankind by sending to the world his only begotten son Jesus Christ as savior of the world. Right down from creation up to today, God’s love for humanity has never stopped. He wishes everybody had his love and shared it with one another.

The hand of the Lord feeds us;
He answers all our needs.

The LORD is just in all His ways
and holy in all His works.
The LORD is near to all who call upon Him,
to all who call upon Him in truth.

Psalm 145:17-18

“Therefore welcome one another as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God.” Romans 15:7

We extend a warm welcome to all who attend our church. We hope that you will find our parish community a place where you will be nourished. We also hope that you will share your special gifts within the community. Your prayers, your presence and your talents are most welcome. Please introduce yourself after Mass. May God bless all of us!
