The world around us
Ever stop to look at what Lent means? What does it mean to experience Lent as a person of faith? Father James Sabak, O.F.M., reminds us that we are loved by a God who is here with us. “Lent is never really a time for us as individuals … it’s always a time in which we as a community of faith are asked to really assent once again, to agree once again, to affirm once again the fact that it’s our belief in God that founds and is the center of all that we are as human beings,” he says.
Online spiritual resources
During this time when Masses and personal interactions are limited, the Diocese of Raleigh is building a list of available online resources for the faithful.
Resources include: Masses in English and Spanish in our diocese, other Masses from throughout the world, and a variety of devotional resources, some of which were paid resources now available for free in response to this crisis.
